London Tube Characters
Graphic Design
Tools: Adobe Illustrator
After spending a semester abroad in London in Spring 2024, I spent so much time commuting by tube that I began to wonder what each line's character would be if it has its own personality. This fun, freestyle project brings the London Underground to life by imagining each tube line as a unique character, inspired by its landmarks/stops, line colors, and the diverse personalities of Londoners themselves.
District line: one of the older lines of the city, feels very "London-er" and the stops are very residential
Victoria line: the name feels self-explanatory, and one of my favorite lines in the city. She's also fast and efficient!
Bakerloo line: reminds me of Baker Street, famous for Sherlock Holmes. was only fitting to have him dressed like Sherlock!
Circle line: the train runs in circles!
Central line: one of London's main and busiest lines. I always see people going to and from work on this line!
Piccadilly line: most of the stops go through very touristy areas, so he's a tourist!
Northern Line: two-faced person because of its two split lines
Jubilee line: miss trendsetter! Her vibes feel confident and modern as she goes through well known areas of the city
